Meriton, Frasers, Growthbuilt, Marquee, PAYCE and Cavcorp are finalists in the 2019 PCA Innovation and Excellence Awards for Best Mixed Use Development, sponsored by InfraBuild.

The Property Council of Australia’s (PCA) Innovation and Excellence Awards recognise distinction in design and innovation in the Australian built environment.

InfraBuild (formerly LIBERTY OneSteel) is sponsoring the Best Mixed Use Development category in next year's Awards, with Meriton Group, Frasers Property Australia, Growthbuilt, Marquee Development Partners, PAYCE and Cavcorp all vying for top honours. Projects must have been completed in the last five years to be eligible for the award, with next year's finalists in the category all situated in the states of Queensland and New South Wales.

The Best Mixed Use Development category is open to any development comprising at least two substantive uses of the following: office, retail, residential, tourism and leisure, community facilities, logistics/warehouse, distribution or high technology.

The PCA’s Innovation and Excellence Awards’ 21 categories include: Sustainable Development–Existing Buildings; Sustainable Development–New Buildings; Residential; Workplace; Planned Community; Affordable Housing; Tourism and Leisure; Business or Industrial Park; Office; Heritage; and Public Building. Two specific innovation categories include Development Innovation and Project Innovation.

Other awards include the Future Leader award, awards for Diversity above and below 250 employees, the People’s Choice Award and the blue-ribband Rider Levett Bucknall Australian Development of the Year.

The winner of the 2018 Best Mixed Use Development, Lendlease’s Barangaroo South project, went on to scoop five awards in total to add to its impressive trophy cabinet.
