InfraBuild’s SENSE 600® has received the highest honour at the 2026 Singapore Good Design Awards, taking home a Platinum SG Mark when judged across all categories.
The award was presented in Singapore on 10 September, where InfraBuild’s Anthony Ng accepted the SG Mark on behalf of the business.

International recognition at the Singapore Good Design Awards
Established in 2013, the SG Mark recognises design excellence that creates positive impact for businesses and communities in Singapore and beyond, attracting entries from across Asia.
Of the 105 SG Marks awarded across nine categories in 2026, SENSE 600® was one of only four winners in the Sustainable Design category and the only reinforcing steel product recognised across the awards.
At the Gala Dinner celebrating this year’s winners, SENSE 600® was elevated to Platinum, one of only two entries across all categories to receive the highest level of recognition in 2026. SENSE 600® is also the first Australian entry to receive a Platinum SG Mark.
InfraBuild CEO Francisco Irazusta said the award was an important recognition of the innovation behind SENSE 600®.
“This international recognition for SENSE 600® is a great example of Australian innovation helping solve real challenges for the construction industry,” Francisco said.
“By combining Australian-made steel with smarter engineering, we can help our customers improve construction productivity while reducing embodied carbon. We’re proud to see that innovation recognised on the international stage.”
Helping construction do more with less
SENSE 600® is the flagship product within InfraBuild’s SENSE Solutions offering, which combines innovative steel products, engineering expertise, digital tools and data-driven insights to help customers improve productivity, project performance and sustainability outcomes.
SENSE 600® is an Australian-made, higher-strength reinforcing steel designed to help the construction industry use less steel while maintaining structural performance.
Manufactured from 100% scrap metal in InfraBuild’s electric arc furnaces, SENSE 600® can reduce the amount of reinforcing steel required by up to 16.7% compared with conventional 500N reinforcing steel. It can also deliver up to 60% lower embodied carbon compared with the NABERS reinforcing steel average.*
The Platinum SG Mark adds further international recognition for SENSE 600® and demonstrates the role Australian steel innovation can play in improving construction productivity and supporting lower embodied carbon construction.
