Chris McGaffin started as ARC Wodonga’s regular delivery driver for 12 years and then was a Warehouse Operator for a further two years. Chris progressed to the office as an InfraBuild Customer Service Officer (CSO) where he learned the ins and outs of our systems. After spending four years as a CSO, the opening of a Key Account Manager position in Wodonga sparked his interest and he was rewarded with the promotion in March 2022.
Within eight months of his new role, Chris has helped deliver large projects such as the Smollett Street Carpark for Zauner Constructions and Tongala Abattoirs for Fix & Form. In addition to these projects, Chris has made considerable additions to Wodonga’s customer base through his constant communication with local builders and concreters.
Whilst Chris brought a valuable skill set from his previous experience as a truck driver, he says he learned everything he needed for his roles through experience in the branch, valuable mentors and the training ARC provides on a national scale, such as the Internal Sales Meeting he recently attended in Sydney.
“The relationships I’ve made and continue to make through the business are invaluable. It’s a great network that we have and I’m grateful to have progressed the way I have from the truck to the warehouse, then office, and now back out on the road seeing customers. I feel like I understand the business from all aspects and it’s a great position to be in.”
Chris has always shown initiative and a drive to learn and succeed at his job. Thank you Chris, for all you do for our business!
