Reinforcing Team Wins Safety Award for Outstanding Commitment

5 May 2025

Our reinforcing team has taken out the top prize for our annual InfraBuild Safety Award, recognised for their outstanding commitment to safety improvement across every part of the business.

Presented last week by CEO, Francisco Irazusta, the award celebrates the team’s safety leadership—and comes with an amazing, oversized safety helmet trophy that now takes pride of place at St Marys.

“This award goes beyond results—it recognises the mindset, leadership and action that make safety a shared value,” said Fran Nores, Global Head of Safety. “The reinforcing team has shown what’s possible when continuous improvement is backed by real ownership at every level.”

Over the past five years, our reinforcing team has reduced recordable injuries by more than 95%, while continuing to strengthen proactive safety reporting and embed risk-based thinking.

Safety is now a constant presence – built into everything from pre-shift meetings and weekly leaders’ calls to site-wide safety committees and a completed risk registry. The team has kept safety front-of-mind, making it part of how the business runs every day.

Congratulations to the entire reinforcing team on this well-earned recognition and for setting a benchmark in what safe, accountable operations can look like.
