InfraBuild has welcomed the latest group of participants into its Women in Leadership development programs, continuing the company’s commitment to a more inclusive and diverse leadership pipeline.
Launched in 2023, the Xplore and Discover programs are designed to support women at different stages of their career. Xplore focuses on those stepping into early leadership roles, while Discover is tailored to women already leading teams who want to strengthen their leadership capability and influence.
To date, more than 80 women have graduated from one of the two programs, with another 24 expected to complete their courses by the end of this year.
“These programs are about more than skill-building,” said Mala Jagannath, Head of Organisational Development Australia at InfraBuild. “They’re about building self-awareness and confidence, strengthening networks, and creating space for women to thrive as leaders across all parts of our business.”
The programs draw participants from across InfraBuild’s corporate and operational teams, bringing together a mix of perspectives and experiences. Each group works closely with mentors and facilitators over several months, with support from InfraBuild’s Executive Leadership Team and senior managers.
“The visible commitment from our senior leaders sends a clear message,” said David Maung, OD Specialist. “We’re serious about developing and backing diverse talent. These programs help make that intent real.”
For many participants, it’s a chance to reflect, grow and connect with colleagues they might not otherwise meet.
“It’s only just started, and already I feel energised,” said Caitlin Greenberry, Digital Engagement Lead, who recently joined the new Xplore program. “There’s something powerful about being in a room full of women who all want to step up, support each other and grow together both personally and professionally.”
The Women in Leadership programs are part of InfraBuild’s broader Inclusion, Diversity and Equity strategy, which aims to reflect the diversity of the communities the company operates in and to ensure all employees have opportunities to lead and succeed.
“This is about building the leadership bench we need for the future,” said Mala Jagannath. “And making sure it reflects who we are today.”
