From Gifford to Gifford: Keeping it in the Family

17 July 2023

Being a Branch Manager is in Dan Gifford’s genes, that is why we’re so excited to announce his promotion within ARC Bundamba. Dan’s father Laurie and grandfather Ken both held the role throughout their impressive careers, starting what has become a family legacy.

Dan has been with our company for five years, beginning his journey as a CSO and working under several secondments as a Despatch Officer. Most recently, he served as a Key Account Manager at Hemmant and Strathpine, where he excelled in his role and contributed significantly to the company’s growth. Like his family before him, Dan always had a goal of becoming a Branch Manager.

During his time with ARC, Dan has demonstrated dedication and commitment to our goals and values. His hard work and determination have certainly not gone unnoticed, and we are excited to see him step up to this new challenge.

As Branch Manager, Dan is looking forward to growing the branch and capitalising on the residential growth in his area, whilst working closely with team members to ensure we continue to provide quality service to our customers. We are confident that Dan’s experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of our company will be invaluable in this role.

Dan’s father, Laurie, currently works as a Key Account Manager at Infrabuild Reinforcing. His grandfather Ken worked for OneSteel Reinforcing and is now retired. We know that Dan will follow in their footsteps and continue to uphold the high standards of our company.

“They are my heroes. It’s very special for me to follow in my family’s footsteps and I want to make them proud. That motivates me every day.”
