NPWS Visitor Amenity Buildings: Environmental design award winner

NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service uses boardwalks to provide safe and easy access to spectacular locations through sensitive environments. The system allows the Service to choose the detailed location of the walkway on site.

The use of DuraGal RHS as bearers for the Service’s Visitor Amenity Buildings provided longer spans to minimise the number of footings and ground disturbance during construction, allowing NPWS to avoid disturbing sensitive features such as rocks, plants and trees.
