InfraBuild Celebrates the winners of the 2020 and 2021 ACAA

Congratulations Multiplex Constructions Pty Ltd for the New Museum of Western Australia and Enerven Zero Cost Energy Future project, the winners respectively of the 2020 and 2021 Australian Construction Achievement Awards.. InfraBuild congratulates the winners and finalists in the Awards announced tonight in an online Award ceremony. A total of 10 major infrastructure and building projects were in the running for the Awards, which were announced at a ceremony for both 2020 and 2021.

As a 2020 and 2021 co-sponsor of the Awards along with other major businesses, InfraBuild was proud to be a supplier to multiple projects shortlisted as finalists across both years.

The six finalists for the 2020 award:

Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project, Victoria, by CTD Alliance

InfraBuild Reinforcing also supplied approximately 4000 tonnes of prefabricated reinforced bar and mesh to the Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project, which removed nine level crossings and installed five new elevated train stations. The upgrade to the rail infrastructure allowed it to support bigger, high-capacity trains and created a 22ha linear park beneath the elevated structure for the community.

The four finalists for the 2021 award, were:

• Australia 108 (Multiplex);
• Bruce Highway Upgrade, Caloundra Road to Sunshine Motorway  (Fulton Hogan Seymour Whyte Joint Venture);
• Pacific Highway Upgrade,  Woolgoolga to Ballina Section 2A – Wells Crossing to Glenugie  (ACCIONA);
• Zero Cost Energy Future (Enerven)

The Australian Constructors Association (ACA) and Engineers Australia host the Achievement Award (ACAA). The award recognises construction projects which showcase the skills, technology, and innovation needed to identify and overcome complex project challenges.

“These projects exemplify the world-class construction outcomes and solutions that Australia’s construction industry and its supply chain can deliver for clients,” ACA’s Executive Director Lindsay Le Compte said, “The range of skills, technology and innovation involved in these projects showcases the capacity of the industry and its ability to collaboratively identify and overcome complex project requirements.”

The ACA is the peak industry body in Australia representing the industry’s largest construction companies. Engineers Australia represents the engineering profession responsible for, along with the constructors, the design and delivery of Australia’s major infrastructure projects.
