InfraBuild recognised for strengthening mental health support at work

23 April 2026

InfraBuild has achieved Advanced Recognition through the Mental Health First Aid Australia Workplace Recognition Program, placing the business among a small group of organisations nationally recognised for embedding strong mental health support in the workplace.

The recognition highlights the steps InfraBuild has taken to support mental health across the business and build the capability of its people to recognise when someone may need help.

It also reflects InfraBuild’s broader approach to health, safety and wellbeing, where caring for people means looking after both physical and psychological safety.

Supporting our people in the moments that matter

Strong mental health support does not happen by chance. It requires clear leadership, practical systems and a culture where people feel safe to speak up and seek help.

InfraBuild’s Advanced Recognition acknowledges the strength of that support network across the business, including:

  • 181 accredited Mental Health First Aiders providing confidential, initial support
  • Sonder EAP, offering free and confidential 24/7 health, wellbeing and safety support for employees and their family members
  • Leaders Care trained leaders equipped to recognise and respond to psychosocial hazards and concerns within their teams

Together, these measures ensure support is accessible and that teams are better prepared to respond early.

A strong safety culture includes mental health

At InfraBuild, safety goes beyond preventing physical injury. It includes creating environments where people feel supported, respected and able to do their best work.

This recognition aligns with InfraBuild’s Health, Safety and Environment Principles.

It starts with leaders, with managers and supervisors setting the tone and creating psychologically safe teams. It reflects proactive risk management by identifying psychosocial risks early and putting the right controls in place. And it reinforces a culture of trust, where people are encouraged to speak up and support one another.

Most importantly, it brings to life the principle ‘You Matter. We Care.’

Leading in an area that matters

As expectations continue to grow around psychosocial risk management and mental health, this recognition demonstrates InfraBuild’s focus on building a workplace that supports its people and strengthens performance.

InfraBuild CEO Francisco Irazusta said supporting mental health is a core part of delivering a safe and high-performing business.

“Our responsibility is to create workplaces where people feel safe, supported and able to speak up when they need help. This recognition reflects the actions our teams and leaders are taking every day to care for one another and build a stronger workplace.”
